AuraLock Autostart: Enable Auto-Start on Android
Ensure AuraLock starts automatically when your Android device boots and is not killed in the background — exact steps for every manufacturer.
What is autostart?
Autostart allows apps to launch automatically when your phone boots. It makes sure AuraLock is ready to protect your focus without manual intervention. Many manufacturers also run a background task killer that can close AuraLock minutes after you leave it — the same settings keep it alive.
Why enable autostart?
Without autostart, AuraLock may not be running after a reboot. Scheduled Auras and background monitoring will not work until you manually open the app.
How to enable it on your phone
Stock Android has no autostart switch at all — on a Pixel or Motorola, Battery → Unrestricted is the whole answer. On MIUI, ColorOS, Funtouch, EMUI, and HiOS there is a separate list. Pick your phone below.
Auto-start
OptionalWithout it, your phone’s task killer may close AuraLock minutes after you leave the app — even mid-Aura. It matters most on MIUI, ColorOS, Funtouch, EMUI, and HiOS.
In AuraLock: open Settings → Permissions and tap this permission — the button reads “Open Settings”. It opens this exact screen on your phone.
Xiaomi · MIUI / HyperOS
MIUI needs BOTH the App-info “Autostart” switch and the Security app’s Autostart list. HyperOS: Settings → Apps → AuraLock → Autostart.
- 1 Open Settings → Apps → Manage apps → AuraLock
- 2 Turn on “Autostart”
- 3 Open the Security app → Permissions → Autostart
- 4 Confirm AuraLock is switched on there too
Samsung · One UI
Stock Android (Pixel, Motorola, Sony, Nokia) has no auto-start switch — “Battery → Unrestricted” is all that exists here.
- 1 Open Settings → Battery and device care → Battery
- 2 Tap “Background usage limits”
- 3 Open “Sleeping apps” and remove AuraLock
- 4 Add AuraLock to “Never sleeping apps” (⋮ menu)
OPPO · realme · OnePlus · ColorOS
realme UI/ColorOS also has a separate “Startup manager” (Settings → Battery → More settings). Turn OFF “Sleep standby optimization” there for AuraLock.
- 1 Open Settings → Battery → App battery management
- 2 Tap AuraLock
- 3 Turn on “Allow auto-launch”
- 4 Turn on “Allow background running” and “Allow foreground activity”
vivo · iQOO · Funtouch / OriginOS

- 1 Open Settings → Apps & permissions → Autostart manager
- 2 Turn AuraLock on
- 3 Then open Settings → Battery → Background power consumption management → AuraLock → allow

- 1 Open Settings → Battery → App launch
- 2 Tap AuraLock
- 3 Turn off “Manage automatically”
- 4 Turn on Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background

- 1 Open Phone Master (or Power Master) → Autostart manager
