Google Pixel (Stock Android)
Configure AuraLock on Google Pixel and other devices running near-stock Android. The simplest setup of all.
Google Pixel devices run near-stock Android. It is the least aggressive system toward background apps. AuraLock works reliably after a single setting change.
1. Exempt AuraLock from battery optimization
- Open Settings → Apps
- Tap See all apps and select AuraLock
- Tap Battery
- Select Unrestricted
2. A note on Adaptive Battery
Pixel's Adaptive Battery learns how you use apps. It usually leaves AuraLock alone once the app is in regular use. Setting battery to Unrestricted removes any uncertainty and keeps scheduled Auras on time.
3. Grant permissions
Complete the permission setup the app walks you through: Accessibility, Display over other apps, and Usage access. Pixel handles these exactly as Android documents them.
The simplest setup
On stock Android, Guardian usually shows all green after you set battery to Unrestricted. That's it — your focus boundary is ready.
