AuraLock on Tablets & Foldables

How AuraLock adapts to large screens and foldables, and what to check when setting it up on a new device form factor.

AuraLock supports every Android screen, from phones to tablets and foldables. The boundary works the same way on each one. The interface adapts to the available space.

Phones

On a phone, an Aura uses a single-column layout. The timer ring anchors the screen, your allowed apps sit below, and the boundary screen appears when you reach outside the Aura.

Tablets

On large screens AuraLock switches to a two-column layout. Your session timer and state stay on one side. Motivation, streak, and allowed apps sit beside them. Nothing stretches or looks zoomed; the layout is built for the space.

Tablets work well for study, reading, and long writing sessions. Setup is identical to a phone: install, grant permissions, run Guardian, create an Aura.

Foldables

Foldables change their usable screen as they open and close. AuraLock's responsive layout adjusts when the display size changes mid-session. The boundary holds whether you are on the cover screen or the inner display.

Galaxy foldables run One UI, so they need the same battery and background settings as other Galaxy devices. See our Samsung guide.

Battery and tablets

Some tablets, especially budget ones, aggressively manage battery to extend usage time. Apply the same battery optimization exemption as on a phone, and run Guardian after setup to confirm everything is healthy.
