Samsung (One UI)
Configure AuraLock on Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI. Includes battery, autostart, and background restrictions.
Samsung Galaxy devices run One UI, which adds aggressive background management on top of stock Android. These steps keep AuraLock reliable on your Galaxy.
1. Exempt AuraLock from battery optimization
- Open Settings → Apps
- Tap AuraLock
- Tap Battery
- Select Unrestricted
2. Add AuraLock to Never sleeping apps
One UI lets you pin apps so the system never puts them to sleep:
- Open Settings → Battery and device care → Battery
- Tap Background usage limits
- Under Never sleeping apps, tap + and add AuraLock
3. Check Auto restart (optional)
Some Galaxy devices automatically restart weekly. If enabled, AuraLock's restore feature brings your session back after the restart. Permissions can be affected:
- Open Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits
- Review the Auto restart at scheduled times option
4. Disable power saving during sessions
Galaxy power-saving modes can suspend background services. Avoid enabling them during an Aura. Alternatively, add AuraLock as an app allowed to run in the background.
Run Guardian first
Use the settings search
One UI's labels change slightly between versions. In Settings, use the search bar at the top and search for background usage or battery optimization to jump straight to the right screen.
