Start using AuraLock in minutes. Learn the basics of creating Auras and protecting your focus.

Welcome to AuraLock. This guide covers installation through your first focused session in under 10 minutes.

What is an Aura?

An Aura is an intentional phone environment that you set up before the session starts. You choose your focus purpose, the apps that stay alive to support it, how long the session runs, and whether the boundary is Standard or Strict.

Quick start

Step 1: Install AuraLock

Download AuraLock from the Google Play Store and open the app.

Step 2: Grant permissions

AuraLock needs specific Android permissions to function. The app will guide you through each one. See our permission guides for detailed explanations.

Run Guardian

After granting permissions, run Guardian to verify everything is configured correctly.

Step 3: Create your first Aura

Tap "Create Aura" and follow the steps:

  1. Choose a name and purpose
  2. Select apps that stay alive
  3. Set your duration
  4. Choose Standard or Strict

Follow the app, step by step

Build an Aura the same way you would in the app — one decision at a time. The phone updates live, so you can see exactly what you are creating.

Step 4: Enter your Aura

Tap "Start Aura" to activate it. Your phone now shows only the apps you chose. All other apps are hidden for the session.
