Xiaomi (HyperOS / MIUI)
Configure AuraLock on Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices running HyperOS or MIUI. Covers autostart, battery, and background activity.
Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones run HyperOS (formerly MIUI). These devices aggressively close background apps, so a few extra settings keep AuraLock running reliably.
1. Set battery to No restrictions
- Open Settings → Apps → Manage apps
- Tap AuraLock
- Tap Battery saver
- Select No restrictions
2. Enable autostart
Autostart lets AuraLock begin scheduled Auras and recover after reboots:
- Open Settings → Apps → Manage apps
- Tap AuraLock
- Tap Autostart
- Toggle Allow autostart on
3. Allow background activity
- Open Settings → Apps → Manage apps
- Tap AuraLock
- Tap Battery saver
- Make sure Background activity is allowed
4. Lock AuraLock in Recents
Swiping AuraLock away from the recent-apps list can end its session. Lock the app so this does not happen:
- Open the recent-apps view
- Tap and hold the AuraLock card
- Tap the lock icon
5. MIUI optimization note
On MIUI, the MIUI optimization toggle affects background behavior. If AuraLock sessions stop unexpectedly, leave MIUI optimization enabled (the default) and confirm the settings above.
Run Guardian first
Open Guardian in AuraLock — it detects your Xiaomi device and highlights exactly which setting needs attention.
