Intentions — Give Every App Session a Purpose
Intentions ask one question before you open an app: why? Give your phone use a purpose, set a time budget, and see honestly how it went.
An intention is a one-question answer: “Why am I opening this?” AuraLock remembers it for next time, so every future entry is one tap.
What an intention is
When you open a chosen app, AuraLock asks what kind of visit this is: connect, create, browse, or something specific. You pick how long feels right, optionally add a daily time budget, and write a message to yourself if you want.
How it works
- Open an app you have set an intention for.
- Confirm or adjust your intention — one tap most of the time.
- Use the app with your chosen time frame.
- When you come back, AuraLock asks: did you get what you came for?
What it is not
Intentions are deliberately not a habit tracker. There are no scores, streaks, or calendars. AuraLock only answers two honest questions: how much time you spent, and why you opened the app.
Intentions vs Goals vs Habits
- Intention — why am I opening this app right now?
- Goal — what outcome am I protecting time toward?
- Aura — what environment do I need for that moment?
- Personal Goal / OKR — what larger direction am I moving toward?
You can review patterns later in the Intentions insights screen — how long visits take and whether you usually get what you came for.
